Nitrogen and argon purification unit 11 ChGG-100-001

Nitrogen and argon purification units 11ChGG-100-001 are used to clean nitrogen and argon with oxygen contents 0.005 vol.% (other impurities for nitrogen according to GOST 9293-74 grade 1, for argon according to GOST 10157-79) from oxygen, water vapors and dust impurities. The units are designed for operation at temperatures from 278 to 308 °K.

Nitrogen and argon purification unit 11 ChGG-100-001 functions with raw nitrogen (or argon) supply at the pressure of 0.2-0.7 MPa, with a flow rate not more than 101 m3/hour. Recovery of nickel-chromium catalyst in the purification unit requires supply of technical grade hydrogen according to GOST 3022-80 at the pressure of 0.05-0.4 MPa with flow rate not less than 0.2 m3/hour.

Operation of nitrogen and argon purification unit 11 ChGG-100-001 is based on the principle of binding the impurities in the raw gas by means of different absorbers. Oxygen impurities are absorbed by nickel-chromium catalyst.
